FireCut is hiring an Entrepreneur in Residence who will work on exciting new projects to grow on our existing product and user base. This is a well-rounded but primarily techinical role, so it’s ideal for programmers who love doing and growing side projects.

What will I do in this role?

Key responsibilities of this role include

• Building something amazing!
• Pursuing projects in sprints (typically of 1-3 months) to “build something people want”
  • creating a business case
  • validating demand
  • interviewing potential users
  • building an MVP
  • launching the product
  • maintaining it over time

Who you are

• You are looking for that once-in-a-career opportunity where you can go from idea to shipped in WEEKS
• Working on the same problem for months / having little impact makes you want to flip a table
• You like to do programming projects in your spare time
• You have experience with growth techniques — what marketing channels are available to bootstrapped companies like ours? how and when do you run ads? how do you interview customers? etc.

• When working in a team, you take ownership of your work ( = you view yourself as the ultimate accountable person for your work, if something breaks on a weekend and your users are stranded you genuinely want to fix it ASAP)
• You have a strong portfolio of side projects
